- What positions were you on in our company so far?
I was recruited to the company in 2005 as a Sales Representative. Already in 2007 I moved to the position of the Area Sales Manager. I had a lot of work ahead of me with building the team. For example, it was very hard for me to start managing my former colleagues. However, thanks to the experiences from the position of a Sales Representative and through training that the company provides for us, I’m in the position to date.
- What is your current working role in the company?
In the position of an Area Sales Manager I manage the team of eight Business Representatives, the activities of who I direct mainly at fulfilling the sales goals. Not only owing to the good team has our company a good name with our customers and a strong position in the world of non-alcoholic beverages.
- What is the difference between our company and other companies that you encountered?
Unlike the previous company, where I worked, my work in Poděbradka is more independent, creative and owing to the trainings and courses with my superiors I naturally get to tools and skills which help me fulfill the goals set in our company. The position Area Sales Manager taught me new skills and experience in team management and the work on the road shifted me not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level in my private life.
- What would you recommend to candidates who intend to deal with the same field or position?
A person who wants to work as an Area Sales Manager in our company, I would say, that it is a very appreciated position. On the other hand it is a big commitment, too. One needs to be communicative, fast, flexible, have organization skills and the ability to prioritize. I also reckon that one needs to master the bases of psychology, since in each team there are various types of people and all need to be managed properly and be shown a path. It is also important to put one’s heart in it – I like to do my job and I believe the product I sell.
